Time: 1PM-2PM EST Location: tinyurl.com/AllyForumSeries Description: For many campuses, implementing an effective inclusive learning initiative may be a new or unfamiliar process. Creating buy-in from campus leadership, raising faculty awareness, and tracking progress are just a few of the steps necessary to help drive a cultural shift in how faculty think about and approach accessibility. Learn about how we executed our Ally pilot at Fresno State in order to effectively scale our support and reach across campus- from organizing faculty workshops to gathering student feedback to tracking our content remediation efforts. Speakers: Dr. Bryan Berrett is the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence, and is responsible for the University’s quality assurance of online learning and teaching program. Prior to his role as director, Bryan spent 18 years as faculty member in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies where he led two large grants to help prepare deaf education teachers and sign language interpreters to serve deaf children and also served as department chair. Walt Hebern is an instructional designer in the Center for Faculty Excellence with extensive experience supporting instructors in the design of engaging online and blended learning experiences.
