# Session synopses
## Is 'plus one' enough? Addressing accessibility challenges in legacy resources
**Anna Ruff, Learning Designer, University of Southampton**
“Discover practical strategies for updating legacy learning resources, overcoming common accessibility challenges, and fostering sustainable content creation.
Learn how small, incremental changes can significantly improve user experience and accessibility, within real world constraints of time and resource.
This presentation will focus on legacy content created in Articulate Storyline.”
## Ally Rapid Remediation
**Maite Saco – Senior Instructional Designer, Cate Dowman – Senior Instructional Designer, University of Miami**
“In 2021, our team embarked on an award-winning project to elevate our online courses to meet accessibility standards within a tight timeframe.
This initiative included comprehensive training on the Ally tool and strategies for updating outdated content. The positive outcomes of this project will be highlighted in our presentation, showcasing a win-win for everyone involved.”
## Mermaids and unicorns – further adventures with AI and accessibility
**Matthew Deeprose, Accessible Solutions Architect, University of Southampton**
Depending on the time available, I’ll share how I’ve continued my journey with AI and digital accessibility since I last presented to the group on this topic in July. Topics I will cover:
- Using Claude to create Mermaid markup to create visualisations from printed materials.
- Using Copilot and Claude to create a web-based tool to help a Medicine lecturer check and adjust their illustrations will not exclude students with colour vision deficiency.
- Comparing Ally Alt Text Assistant outputs with other generative AI image description tools.
