We're crossing continents and expanding our international horizons. We'll learn about how Lund Faculty of Law in Sweden use Ally, and speed over to Illinois where User Group co-chair and accessibility wizard Lara Tompkins will lead us through a workshop in using design thinking techniques to address accessibility and STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). ### Agenda * Keeping up to date with Ally. * Using Blackboard Ally in a smaller faculty, Emma Folkesson, Wilma Jonsson & Emanuel Franzen, Lund Faculty of Law. * Where Are Your A11Y Issues STEMing From? Lara Tompkins, College of DuPage. * Fix your content day update. * Community Updates. * Any other business. Make sure to join this awesome community event! #### Session synopses ##### Using Blackboard Ally in a smaller faculty, Emma Folkesson, Wilma Jonsson & Emanuel Franzen, Lund Faculty of Law. Blackboard Ally has been available on our learning platform since 2019 as a result of the website accessibility regulations implemented in Sweden and the EU. The Faculty of Law is the only faculty within Lund University working with Blackboard, and with our 1700 students we are generally viewed as a smaller actor, facing different challenges in our daily work towards an accessible learning platform. The presentation will focus on: * how the Faculty of Law as a smaller actor uses Blackboard Ally in our learning environment * our challenges in implementing an extended understanding of accessibility and available tools with our professors and course administrators * discussing possibilities for further improving our accessibility work ##### Where Are Your A11Y Issues STEMing From? Lara Tompkins, College of DuPage. When you hear the word “accessibility” in conjunction with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) do you break into a cold sweat thinking about making instructional content accessible to all learners? Well, panic no more! Bring your problems and expertise to this “conversation not presentation” and we will use design thinking techniques to put these issues in focus and share resources. Participants will contribute to a STEM A11Y Toolkit. ![](file-guid:2dd3d696-99c9-4eb4-8952-125486d2e450 "Slide11.png") ![](file-guid:a50ddf88-fb79-4a79-bca1-d2d08c68d760 "Slide12.png")
